General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Collecting and use of personal data from suppliers, customers and other contractors.
As of May 25, 2018 the General data protection Regulation (GDPR) will be effective in the EU. This statement informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from (potential) customers as well as companies from whom we acquire goods and/or services in order to establish and execute any agreements we have with your firm.

If you are a (potential) customer, KOMAK will use company data and contact details transmitted to us by you in order to quote, determine which specifications or wishes certain items or services must meet, deliver goods, perform activities, send invoices and communicate with you about the execution of reached agreements.
KOMAK considers it the responsibility of her relation to ensure these contact details are of business nature and do not include any private data such as private phone number etc…

If you are a (potential) supplier or other contractor, your contact data will also be required to establish and execute agreements. During the procurement process, it is needed to show you which specifications or wishes certain items or services must meet, send an invitation to tender, assign an order, pay your invoices and communicate with you about other aspects of the agreement.
KOMAK does not require personal data other than company contact details and will therefore not store, register or handle any personal data other then professional details in the ERP or otherwise systems used. However, it may not be possible to perform the above mentioned activities if insufficient personal data of empowered individuals is not transmitted as per publication in official registers.

KOMAK does not have any business with private individuals and therefore will not store private data of individuals either.

Direct marketing: KOMAK will store and use professional contact details you supplied to us, to inform you via e-mail about existing and new products and services and to make special offers. Every time we send a promotional e-mail, you have the opportunity to tell us that you no longer wish to receive such mails. This can be done using the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the mails.

Transfer to third parties: When executing agreements with your firm, we may need to supply your contact data to 3rd parties supplying components, materials and products or perform activities within the concerned agreements.

Storage of data: Storage of professional contact details is done on a KOMAK ERP system. The data is protected by suitable fire-walls within a private and secluded network. Company and Professional contact details of any relation is stored for a maximum of 6 years after the last contact. After 6 years the data will be deleted.

Rights of our clients, suppliers and potential partners: You have the right to request access to the company details data we have stored. Should it be necessary, you can also ask us to supplement or correct inaccuracies – this data will never contain other than business contact details. You can also object to the collection and use of your data or submit a complaint to the Personal Data Authority.
Finally, you can ask us to supply a copy of your data or to transfer this data to another party. You can exercise your rights by contacting the board at KOMAK GOURP B.V.
